Data processing has become a real socio-economic challenge for public and private organisations, no matter where they are based. With digital technology already representing 5.5% of France’s GDP, the Internet of Things market is set to reach around 1525 billion euros by 2020. As well as this exponential growth, demand is increasing for low-latency, high-speed connections which alone generate several million euros online every minute.
At the same time, Greenpeace is warning us that the internet is one of the world’s biggest energy consumers and that datacenters represent 4% of worldwide energy use, with annual growth of 5%. In light of such challenges, JERLAURE is taking a truly ethical and responsible approach, designing datacenters which are connected to their environment and use renewable energy.
